The Windshield Repair Process

    1. Inspection: Our technicians carefully assess the damage to determine if it can be repaired or if a replacement is necessary.  The sooner you address a chip in your windshield, the better the repair will turn out and it shouldn't grow into a crack that can't be repaired.

    1. Cleaning: The damaged area is thoroughly cleaned by using a precision carbide drill bit to remove dirt, debris, and moisture, ensuring a strong bond with the repair resin.

    1. Resin Application: A special resin is injected into the chip or crack using professional windshield repair tools. This resin is designed to bond with the glass and restore its strength.  While we strive to have it optically disappear, you can usually expect an 80% visual improvement, but rarely will it completely disappear.

    1. Curing: Once the crack or chip has completely filled with the liquid repair resin, it is then cured using UV light, which hardens it and makes the repair restores the structural strength to the windshield.

    1. Polishing: The last step is to fill and polish the pit so that you don't get any streaking of your windshield wipers. The repaired area is polished to blend seamlessly with the rest of the windshield, restoring clarity and smoothness.

Why Repair a Combination or Star Break?

If your windshield has a star break (a series of short cracks radiating from a central point) or a combination break (a mix of cracks and chips), it’s crucial to address it as soon as possible. Here’s why:
